The Lore

The legend of Frank the Snake started on September 9, 2014, when Richard Heart wrote an article on his personal website titled “How a Pet Found a New Home.” In that archived post, he described discovering a very large green python in his attic.

Right before the discovery, he joked that he was searching for documents "to be frank" followed immediately by the parenthetical: “Hi Frank”.

That tiny joke became the spark for our lore: if the attic snake had a name, Frank felt inevitable. So we made Frank the Snake the mascot. Not because anyone officially named the real snake Frank, but because the joke was too perfect to leave behind.
